Can disabled people get discounts on disney florida tickets if so where from?

we are going for 14 nights and planning on visiting disney world, sea world, universal studios and adventure world|||no none of the orlando area theme parks give you a discount for being disabled.

just because you or a family member is disabled that doesn't mean you should be able to get cheaper tickets.

however they do have wheelchairs available they also have braille maps available and if you have certain conditions where you cannot stand in lines for long period of times you can go to the guest services building and get a "guest assistance card" (i believe proper medical proof is needed so that people don't just take advantage of the system)

i am legally blind and have been going to disney world with my family since i was a baby. its very difficult for me to navigate through some of the lines like the ones that are in the dark. i have not tried to get a guest assistance card though. even though its embarrassing i usually hang on to my mom's hand. sometimes she doesn't do the greatest job and i run into things lol. i got 3 battle wounds from my last trip cuz my mom ran me into stuff.

about the only way i try to take advantage of my disability is by asking cast members to allow me to sit in the front row for many of the shows cuz i'd like to be able to see the details instead of just outlines of people.|||I know for a fact that Disney does not offer discounts to anyone unless they are active duty or retired military. So, to answer your question, no you will not get a discount at Disney due to a disability. You can however, get a Guest Assistance Pass from Guest Relations that will make your trip a little bit easier for the disabled people. A valid doctor's note may be required.

I have never heard of a discount for the other parks, but that doesn't mean they don't offer one. Contact the park or review their website.|||I don't think there is anything available. My daughter is disabled and loves to go to Disneyworld and we have never found anything. Disneyworld is amazing in dealing with people with disablities. They make the trip so much easier. We haven't had treatment that compares with WDW when we have been to Sea World or Universal. Have fun and good luck.|||umm..i dont think they do..if ure disabled you shouldnt be going to amusement parks in the first place!!

What a dreadful insulting bigot's comment! Disney is for everyone and positively welcomes disabled visitors - I don't know of any discounts but you and your family will be able to go to the front of the queues and will be assisted on/off rides. You may find it cheaper to buy tickets locally when you arrive. I'm sure you'll all have a super time - my son's disabled and he had a fantastic time! Go and enjoy yourself!|||Wow! "Proud Mom"!

From the words of a John Lennon song..."One thing you can't hide is when you're crippled inside!"

Thankfully, there aren't many of "those kind" of people in the World (Disney). People like that don't like to have fun. She must be miserable!

BTW- Disney is the best place to go with "special needs" of any kind!

http://allears.net/pl/special.htm|||firstly am soooo shocked at proudmoms answer!!!! why cant they enjoy the parks. there are special assistances for people who are disabled. they dont get a discount. what you can get is special accesses to the rides instead which is helpful.

i hope you have a wonderful trip
