How much money per day at Disney World?

We are planning on leaving for Disney World in a couple weeks. How much money do we need to take for a family of five (2 adults, a 7yo, a 3yo and a 2 yo) We are also taking my sister with us and paying for her meals.|||It definitely depends on how you plan to eat. Are you gonna want to try a few of the well-known sit-down restaurants? If so, plan on that being expensive. Or are you content to eat at quick-service (burger, pizza, fries, etc...) kind of places? If so, those are cheaper, but you could still plan on at least $10 a person, unless your kids will be sharing meals.

If you'll be there a week, and I'm gonna go ahead and assume you'll do a mix of quick service and table service places, I would say a conservative estimate for food would be......between $400 - $500.|||hopefully you have breaskfast at your hotel - or stock up on snacks - some hotels have fridges too, so stock away -- maybe invest in a cooler once you are down here for your room...

pack a backpack full of snacks (poptarts, cookies, crackers, etc ) other things may melt.. eating in disney is expensive, so I would plan on bringing water bottles and buyng lunch in the park only - maybe an icecream bar as those are pretty inexpensive like 2-3 dollars and they are good!! and then eating dinner outside the park at a chain someplace... or grabbing a pizza and eating it at your pool (that is always fun)... etc.

OR plan on at least 50 for lunches and at least 100 for dinners -- cheap breakfast is anywhere..|||Adults should expect to pay $10 per meal for counter service inside the parks. That's for a burger, fries, and a drink. The portions are large enough that you could maybe share. Your 7 year old and 3 year old could definitely share. Sit down service cost two to three times that.

Outside the parks, meals are typically priced, with fast food running $5-$6 per meal per adult.

Parking is $12 per day if you have a rental car or are driving on your own. Hopefully you have already purchased your park tickets, but if not, go to disneyworld.com for latest prices.

Last year, my family and I packed fanny packs full of fruit snacks and power bars to snack on during our park tours. We ate a good breakfast and dinner outside of the parks. We also took in our own water bottles.

Souvenirs: Expect to pay $20 or more for T-shirts, $10 for mugs or glasses, and basically more than you would expect to pay for everything else.

Go buy "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2009". This was the best $20 I spent for my family's July 2008 vacation to Disney. The book contains reviews for restaurants, hotels, and attractions on and off Disney property. However, the best part of the book are the touring plans! The plans give you step by step instructions on where to go and when to go in order to avoid the longest lines.

For example: "Soarin" in EPCOT is one of the most popular rides in all of Disney. A 2-hour wait in line is not uncommon to partake in this awesome experience. However, using the touring plan in the book and maximizing Disney's "Fast Pass" system, we were able to ride it twice in a row without waiting in line one time!

By the way, if you don't know what the "Fast Pass" system is, then definitely get the book or ask us that are in the know at yahooanswers. It's fast, easy, and one of the few FREE things in Disney. Yes, it is absolutely FREE!

Go out and buy the book today. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Have fun!|||Id say at least a 150 a day on food and thats eating on the cheap I was just there in Feb and for just myself and one other adult it was prob close to $30 (15 a person)for 2 at the cheapy food places expensice places just for 2 at lunch is like 60-70 (30-35 a person) a meal. Small kids prob can share some of the meals I always feel as I need to light when at theme parks and going on rides ill have a few small meals and snacks and than a big dinner when we leave. .......just me tho!! =0) Have fun!!|||Wow, you defitniley should check into their meal plan. I have been 4 times and the last time i went we purchased the plan. It saved me so much money. I have 4 kids and it made things so much easier. Out of pocket the entire 6 day trip i spent less than $500 with the meal plan.|||You will need alot. I mean for all those people and you are staying a couple of weeks. I say at least 5000.|||50 dollars, im not sure
