How long will it take to see Disney world and Universal Studios fully?

We are first timers to both attractions so we want to see both of the amusement parks fully. That includes the smaller parts of Disney World like Toon Lagoon etc.We will be going in May so will there be a lot of crowds there? Should we spring on the express pass for universal studios? Thanks.|||Disney World has four theme parks and two water parks. Toon Lagoon is not at Disney, so you might mean the water park, Typhoon Lagoon?

May is usually pretty dead until Memorial Day because spring break is over and everybody goes back to school, waiting for summer to start. So it is usually a pretty good time to go. Some years you do run into lots of school groups taking senior trips and stuff, so that can be aggravating. Still, it's a good time to go overall. It's probably NOT worth purchasing the Express Pass. But remember, you can always buy it at the gate if you were to get there and discover it is more busy than expected. Universal says you should buy in advance in case they sell out, but I have never seen it happen even in busier seasons.

So as far as timeline, this is what I would recommend for a first-timer:

Disney's Magic Kingdom - 2 days

Disney's Epcot - 1-2 days, depending on if you want to explore all the countries (which can be really fun to do)

Disney's Animal Kingdom - 1 day

Disney's Hollywood Studios - 1 day

Universal Studios - 1-2 days, depending on if you want to see all the shows (and they have some really good ones)

Universal's Islands of Adventure (which includes the new Harry Potter "island") - 1 day

Water parks - allocate a day to each park. It won't take your whole day, but it will make you pretty tired and I wouldn't try to combine anything else with it.

If I were going to try to do both Disney and Universal, I would try to go for 10 days minimum, and that's NOT including the water parks.|||First you need to realize that WDW is not an amusement park, it is four major theme parks and 3 minor theme parks. Universal Orlando is 2 theme parks. All together between the 2 resorts there are 9 theme parks. That is not even counting the shopping and dining opportunities at Downtown Disney and Universal's city walk.

WDW will take at least 10 days to see everything. USO takes about 3- 3 1/2 depending on crowds.

There isn't a Toon Lagoon at WDW. Toon Lagoon is a section of Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando with 2 water rides: Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges and the water play area: Me Ship the Olive.|||A lifetime!
