What is your favourite decade for cartoon Disney movies?

In my opinion, the best Disney movies were the ones made in or around the nineties were the best, but then again, I grew up watching Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, and all those other nineties movies so that might have something to do with it. In your opinion, what decade was the best for animated Disney movies and why? (Part of the reason I love all the Disney movies from the nineties is the music is fantastic) Also, which is your alltime favourite animated Disney movie?|||http://generationz.b1.jcink.com

I'd have to agree with you. The best Disney movies were made in the 90's! If you love Disney movies around the 90's, you should check out the site listed above. It's a site about the 90's that will help you relive childhood memories and you'll be able to talk about the 90's shows, cartoons, movies, and memories you made then. It's a great site.|||I would have to say the 40s. Walt just came off the huge success of Snow White so he could pour so much money onto the Pinocchio and Fantasia projects. He really pursued animated perfection with those films. The quality of the animation and animation effects of the second and third Disney movies is simply the greatest of all time. The artistry that went into every shot of those films is really mind-boggling when you watch them as an adult.

Dumbo was a little too short, I thought, but still fun and heartwarming.

Then Disney got back on form with Bambi. The film is stunningly beautiful again, and it certainly leaves an imprint on the viewer.

WW2 depleted a lot of Walt's funds so he was forced to create cheap, double-features. But Fun and Fancy Free was still enjoyable (one of Mickey's few full-length appearances) and the Three Caballeros had its moments.

As for my favorite Disney movie of all time, Pinocchio will always be at the top for me. The story, the characters, the music, it all worked so well. Animation reached its height in terms of technical achievement early on in Walt's career.|||Best to Worst

40s- Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Fun and Fancy Free, and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

90s- Everything except Pocahantas

60s- Swiss Family Robinson, 101 Dalmations, The Parent Trap, The Sword in the Stone, Mary Poppins, and the Jungle Book.

50s- Sleeping Beauty, Old Yeller, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Lady and the Tramp

70s- Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Robin Hood, The Aristocats, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and the Rescuers

2000s- Emperor's New Groove, Lilo %26amp; Stitch, Chicken Little, Bolt, and The Princess and the Frog.

80s- Fox and the Hound, Brave little Toaster, Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company.

30s- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

I did it by how many good ones came out each decade.|||I personally think the 90's were the best! Well.. technically '89 and into the '90s, lol. Cuz The Little Mermaid was made in '89, and that's my all-time FAVORITE Disney movie %26lt;3 And I just love ALL of the 90's movies, like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Hercules, etc.|||The 90's definitely! Who could forget those films? But don't forget, Tarzan was released in the 90's as well (even though 1999 is only a year before 2000). I've seen Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan, %26amp; Tarzan. I'm just not gonna see Beauty and the Beast (no offense if you're a fan of it) because that film just doesn't fit my style.|||The 60s would be my favorite Disney Decade: With such great movies like Mary Poppins, Babes In Toyland, Swiss Family Robinson, The Parent Trap, %26amp; Pollyanna.

The list below will help you make up your own mind. :)|||Yeah, I'd say the '90s too because of Aladdin and The Lion King. Beauty and the Beast is pretty good but I don't have the same connection with it since I only watched it for the first time a few weeks ago.|||well lion king is like the only disney movie on the top grossing list. at least before pixar movies. and my favorite is alladin.

so either 90s or 00s|||40's|||80s|||the 90's and anything that Elton John wrote the songs for!
