If I have this brilliant idea for a movie,
how do i turn it into a disney movie?|||dont put it on disney if its brilliant!|||You can bring it to Disney but usually studios own the rights to any movie they produce unless there is a specific contract with the person presenting the idea. You may want to type up your premise, copyright it and then present to Disney. If they like it they have to buy the rights from you or give you a cut in the profit. Such in case with A.A. Milne for "Winnie the Pooh" or the writer of "Mary Poppins" where the author was the main consultant on the movie. I'm sure the same was done with Kiplings estate for "Jungle Book" and the author of "101 Dalmatians". The classic Princess fairy tales, Pinocchio, Robin Hood, Mulan, Sword and the Stone, etc are public domain as the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson (the Little Mermaid), and the other authors have passed on long time ago.|||Search Disney.com and you should get some addresses and just write to them first asking about how you go about submitting a stry idea. But dont send your idea off until you have copywrite, which you can get from this website - http://copyrightservice.co.uk/
But check if it only covers you in the UK.
Good luck Disney Rule !!!|||If you have it all written out, copyright it. Then take it to someone important %26amp; trustworthy with a responsible parent/guardian. ALSO, it depends on who would enjoy it, too (age wise).
Hope this helps!
