See, in my vocal class this year, we are focusing on stage techniques and trying to get our acting up to par with are singing and so, for my exam I am guessing we have to demonstrate what we learn through the year and apply it to our performance. Do you know any Disney songs I could perhaps perform with a monolouge in the beginning with a nice higher alto or mezzo soprano song?|||Zippidee-do-dah starts with talking and requires a lot fo acting to really perform well...
There is also Snow white's story of herself and the prince, but you would have to lower it down to sing it.
Or you could do something like "I can go the distance" that is a sort of speaking song
Or if you could do a duet you could do "Middle of the River" a song that was cut from poccahontas.
Look into disney stage versions of plays. A lot more of them have songs that begin speaking.
I think that Belle, Poccahantas, and Mulan are the singers with the lower voices, but I could be wrong.|||Well I would say you should sing one of two songs:
1)' part of your world'-little mermaid....in the beginning it really shows her stuggleing with who she wants to be and the whole boy/dad clash
2) 'once upon a dream' -sleeping beauty....in the beginning of this song she is talking to herself in the forest, nice monologe.
I hope that these song choices help and that you have a great time singing them!
Good luck :)|||The Gaston song from Beauty And The Beast, it has a pretty good talking bit at the beginning.
