What is the difference between a walt disney and a disney movie?

I always though that if it was Walt's idea then it was a walt disney movie and if not it was Disney movie. I recently found out that's not true. so what makes something a disney movie and what makes it a walt disney movie?|||There's actually no such thing as just a "Disney Movie". The proper name for all of them is a "Walt Disney Movie", but people shorten it to a "Disney Movie". It's Walt Disney World, not Disney World. It's the Walt Disney Company, not the Disney company. There is no difference between the two, they are the exact same thing. Anything attached to Disney has Walt's name in front of it, whether people include it or not.

Most Walt Disney movies weren't Walt's ideas anyways - most were ancient fairy tales created by Brothers Grimm, Aesops Fables, or others. So the creator of the storyline has nothing to do with the movie company name in this case.

The only movies that are different are Pixar movies, since the Walt Disney Corporation collaborated with Pixar to make certain films. Other than that, any movie you watch with Cinderella Castle at the beginning, is a Walt Disney film, or if you prefer, a Disney film. =-)|||walt disney movies now aren't in cartoon for example "Pirates of the caribbean" on top on the movie it says walt disney and it is not in cartoon. disney movies sometimes are in cartoon and not in cartoon, its confusing if your are watching disney movies on the disney channel they both have walt disney movies and disney movies. hope what i said helps a little.|||Nothing, really. By the 1950s, the Disney Company was paying Walt Disney a salary and a yearly fee for use of his name. Even the stylized signature that has become part of the Disney logo isn't Walt's real signature.
