How does Disney World know you are staying on property to get into the extra magic hours?

So I have been wondering how do they monitor who is a Disney resort guest to take advantage of the extra magic hours. We have always stayed inside the park and never payed attention to how they monitor this?|||Well for emh in the morning you're scanning your key to the world to get in that is also your room key if you are staying on disney property. For emh at night they will check your room key when you are in line for rides not all the time but most of the time when you get in line someone will be there who will ask to see your room key.|||We used to give out bracelets. However, it was proving to be very expensive and created a lot of garbage so we now just have guest show thier resort key. When you walk up to any of the attractions a cast member is suppose to ask you for your Disney Resort Key. If you have one they we let you through. If not your kindly reminded that the park is closed to everyone except Disney Resort Guest. You would be suprised how many people not staying at a Disney Resort get so angry at the cast members. I have had fathers get right in my face cussing and screaming how horrible I am for not letting thier child ride the attraction. Crazy.|||It's all based on your park ticket - which they call the "Key to the World" card. Basically this card acts as your park ticket at the gate, your room key, and also as a pass to all rides open during extra magic hours. They'll have cast members waiting at each attraction to ensure everyone riding has the card.|||your "key to the world" card which is your hotel room key/park tickets and dining plan card if you are on the dining plan. it can also act as your credit card if you attach a credit card number to it.

for extra morning hours they monitor by making sure everyone that enters the park has a "key to the world" card.

for the extra evening hours you must show your "key to the world" card at each attraction.

they are supposed to look at the check in and check out dates on your card to ensure that people don't try to sneak in with a card from a previous trip.

"lalalalizzie"

they no longer give you a wristband. they stopped doing that several years ago. now you just show your "key to the world" card.|||You can stay in the park, if you avoid check-points. You can not eat, buy anything or enter attractions or rides without your room key. Sure some employee will skip checking for for room keys. But how much fun is scheming on vacation to get away with a little something?|||Cast members will stand in key parts of the parks (ex: the entrance to Adventure Land) and ask to see resort IDs. Same thing for special events---when we stayed for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, cast members would check for wrist bands.|||You bring your hotel cards/key for each person and go to a Disney sat member that night. They then I've you a wristlet to wear around he park and that's how they know you belong to a Disney resort|||When you go to get on a ride you have to show them your room key. They will NOT let you go without it|||You show them your hotel key at the park entrance.
