How long are Disney performers required to work in "fur" before being a face performer?

I am interested in auditioning as a Disney face performer. I heard all cast members must first work in "fur".|||no you do not have to be a fur character first|||First you must be hired by Disney, then seek promotions. Getting hired is actually the hardest part. Most who become furred characters never move on to face. There's so few actual face characters. Mickey himself is furred.
